Dissertation Skills: Using Other Libraries Online

This workshop highlights a range of options for expanding the scope of your research beyond Goldsmiths Library. The session will include an introduction to Senate House Library (the main University of London Library), how to access Open Access resources, and how to make Inter-Library Loan requests.

By the end of this session students should be able to:

  • Go beyond Library Search to find relevant resources outside of Goldsmiths Library collections

  • Compare the collections of other online libraries and web sites for access to research resources

  • Understand the best way to obtain further resources, including requesting items via inter-library loan

  • Consider a range of online search tools to find open access e-resources

Please note this workshop may be recorded. If you have any concerns about appearing in a recording, or any other queries about the workshop, please email library@gold.ac.uk.
